To enter the photo competition, either MMS your image to 60300 with moose1, moose2 or moose3 in the subject line of your message (or if there is no subject line, in the body of the message). The keyword you use depends on which moose you have photographed. If you do this, your photograph will appear on the map and the time recorded. Or, if you prefer, you can email the picture to evans@simongames.co.uk, giving a place & time the animal was photographed, and your name. Good luck!
Objective
Hunt Moose down and photograph them. To enter the wildlife photography competition, upload the photograph to the gallery (instructions below). Prizes will be awarded in various categories: first sighting; best photograph of a moose; best photo collection of all moose; best photograph in an urban setting; best young photographer (under 16).
How to Play
- The Moose have been radio tagged. Their position is recorded every 3 mins.
- To get a list of latest positions text moose to 60300. This SMS will be charged at your standard network rate.
- You will be sent back an SMS message with links to three maps; choose which Moose you want to track (moose 1, 2 or 3) and view the map with your Moose's position plotted on it. Its easy. You can view these maps on virtually any mobile phone or on a computer. The SMS message is free to receive.
- Use this map to hunt Moose down in the real world. If you need help watch the video and read the information on the Moose page.
- If you find a Moose try and take their photograph.
- If you are successful MMS the picture to 60300 with the number of your moose (ie. 'moose1') in the subject line of the MMS message. The picture will then be added to the gallery and map. This MMS will be charged at your standard network rate. Your telephone number will not be published and will only be used for the purpose of awarding a prize if you win.
- Beware. When you load a Moose map, that Moose will be informed and your position revealed to the Moose. If they photograph you and upload the picture before you get them you are out of the competition.
- Prizes will be awarded at the igfest awards ceremony the Bristol Old Vic, Sunday at 5.00pm.

Please note
- Moose are wild animals. Please do not do anything to disturb or frighten them. Keep your distance – at least 10 metres.
- Respect the countryside, other players and members of the public. Please do not trample crops or trespass on private property and close gates behind you.
- Be careful.
Rules
- Any submission without an accompanying telephone number can not be considered for a prize. Please note your telephone number will not be published and will only be used for the purpose of awarding a prize if you win. Your personal details will not be passed to a third party.
- Do not approach the Moose. Any player coming to within 10 metres of the Moose will be disqualified at the judges discretion.
- Any player damaging private property or conducting themselves in such a way as to bring the game into disrepute will be disqualified.
- The judges decision is final.
- Judging panel for the photography competition will be made up of a panel of professional wildlife photographers.
- igfest organisers or residents of the PM Studio are ineligible to win.
- When playing Moosehunt you must take all reasonable care to ensure that you do not put yourself or others at risk of harm, for example (but not limited to) by playing the game in the vicinity of moving vehicles or other hazards. Obey all laws, including all traffic signs and signals and any instructions that may be given to you by law enforcement personnel. Use common sense and have fun!
